PALACE

In the 2000 B.C., the MInoans began to build their cities. In the cities, there was a palace with many rooms that like a maze. The palace was the heart of the Minoan social life and was also served for government and religion. The food was stored and distributed in the palace. Around the palace there were houses, small villages, and farms. The largest palace built by the MInoans was in the city of Knossos (kuh-NAH-sihs). The palace was at least three stories high and more than three acres.
